Salvation
1. The Salvation Command
Isaiah
55:1-3: Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, he that hath no
money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and
without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? And you
labor for that which satisfieth not? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that
which is good, and let you soul delight itself in fatness. Incline you ear, and
come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make and everlasting
covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Isaiah
55:6-7: Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is
near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and
let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God,
for will abundantly pardon.

1. In Time of Sickness
Romans
8:18: For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be
compared with the glory, which shall be revealed in us.

Corinthians 12:9: And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my
strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory
in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
II
Corinthians 4:16-17: For which cause we faint not; but through our outward man
perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction,
which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal
weight of glory.
2. In Time of Affliction
Psalm
34:19: Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him
out of them all.

46:1: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Ecclesiastes 12:1: Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the

1. Those who Lack Assurance

Peter 1:15: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner
of conversation.

2:15-17: Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any
man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the

7:7: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it

10:25: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner
of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day

122:1: I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
Acts
17:11: These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received
the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether
those things were so.
7. Those Who are Unforgiving

6:14-15: For if ye forgive men their trespasses, you heavenly Father will also
forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your
Father forgive your trespasses.
Ephesians 4:32: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Colossians 3:13: Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man
have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

10:32-33: Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess
also before my Father, which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before

1. "I am too great a sinner"
I
Timothy 1:15: This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Isaiah
1:18: Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be
as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson,
they shall be as wool.
Matthew 9:12-13: But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, they that be
whole need not a physician, but
they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy,
and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to
repentance.
2. "My heart is too hard"
Ezekiel
36:26-27: A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within
you: and I will take away the stony heart our of your flesh, and I will give you
an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in
my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
3. "I must become better
before I become a Christian"
Isaiah
64:6: But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as
filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind,
have taken us away.
Jeremiah 10:23: O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not
in man that walketh to direct his steps.
4. "I am afraid I cannot hold
out"
John

6. "I have tried before and
failed"
Luke

you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith
fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy bretheren.
Isaiah
40:29-31: He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he
increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men
shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and
they shall walk, and not faint.
7. "I can't give up my evil
ways"
Galatians
6:7-8: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life
everlasting.
8. " I will be persecuted if I
become a Christian"

hard"

11:30: For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

15. "There are hypocrites in
the church"
Romans
2:1-3: Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest:

the truth against them, which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man,
